What are the steps in purchasing proofreading and editing services?

You will select which service best fits your paper’s deadline. The cost is based on the deadline and how many pages your paper is. We define a page as double-space with 1 or 1.25 inch margins. If you have reference material, such as in-text quotations and bibliography pages, you may want to purchase our premium service to have these edited.

How do I submit a paper?

After we have received your payment, we will email you instructions to submit your paper. Basically you will need to attach your paper to an email for the editors to work on it. You can also include any specific concerns you have about your paper or particular things you would like editors to focus on. If you have purchased the premium package, then you should include which style guide you are expected to use (Chicago, MLA, APA, etc.).

How will the editing will be done?

The editors will use Google Docs to read your paper and make corrections. They will email the paper back to you as an attachment. Please quickly scan your paper to be sure that all formatting is the way you want it. Sometimes if you are using a special font, bold, italics, or underlining, they may be lost in the transfer between various document programs.

When will I hear from the proofreader?

If we do not receive your paper as an email attachment soon after you have paid for services, then we will contact you to inform you that there was a problem. You will receive an email from us returning your document within the time-frame that you paid for (72, 48, or 24 hours).

How do I compare the original and edited documents?

Using Google Docs under the Tools menu, you can click Revision History and select your original paper and the edited paper, then click Compare Checked to see the specific corrections and improvements that editors made to your paper.
